Cumbria Hosts the Maryport Blues Festival this Weekend
Coming up on Friday July 29th through to Sunday 31st, the cosy Cumbrian town of Maryport will host its annual Rock and Blues festival in its 18th year.
Taking place inside a main marquee stage, outdoor stage and along a trail of various pubs and venues in the town, visitors can choose which of the 50 confirmed bands and artists they want to see most while taking in the local area and local festival atmosphere.
The Ian Siegal Band returns to the festival to perform on Friday, with Elkie Brooks proving to be a big draw for ticket sales - headlining the main stage on Saturday night. Sunday night ticket holders will see The Blues Band, featuring former Manfred Mann singer and BBC Radio 2 presenter Paul Jones.
This year's pub trail includes The navy club, the Sailor’s Return, the Golden Lion, Netherhall Old Boys, the Butchers Arms and the Phoenix Tap.
