July 7th, 2018 is International Chocolate Day. And if you're anything like us, you'll be drooling at the thought of how you could celebrate!
International Chocolate Day is a globally-celebrated observance that's said to mark the introduction of chocloate to Europe in the 1500s. But more importantly, it's an excuse to eat loads of chocolate...
In the spirit of indulgence, we've created a short list of wonderful places certain to help you cater for the cocoa cravings on July 7th (or indeed, any time you like).
1. The Famous 1657 Chocolate House (Kendal)
As the name suggests, this 'internationally-renowned haven for chocolate addicts' has been around almost as long as chocolate itself. Found on the edge of Kendal's town centre market square, the Chocolate House offers a wide choice of selections and make-your-own chocolate gift boxes. With its own tea room serving hot chocolate and cakes, it's a great place to take a break from shopping or exploring the town.

3. Cocoa Bean Co. (Hawkshead)
The Hawkshead franchise of the Cocoa Bean company is a chocolate shop and factory perfectly geared up for kids to craft their own chocolate creations! That's the top place to eat in an area also familiar with luxury dining and michelin stars. Not bad! So in addition to paninis, toasties and Belgian waffles Choccobar serves up thick chocolate by the mugload. From traditional hot chocolate to churros with their famous sauce, a chocolate lover would surely only struggle with which gooey item to try first.
